I think it's a non runner for me. Just checked the flights

    Ryanair Friday 9th Shannon/Birmingham €119.99
    Sunday 11th Birmingham/Shannon €189.99

    BMIbaby Cork/Birmingham 98.49 out 293.99 back

Too dear for me I'm afraid.

    Looking forward to it.

Get there early - it gets very crowded later on. One (long) day might well do it. Well worth going at least once. You can walk from the airport to the NEC.

Edit: just noticed your post re airfares - maybe book during a seat sale next year.

I was at the show on friday and saturday, in future give the saturday a miss - ovre crowded.

Well worth a visit, there is quite an array of motors to have a look at, and quite a few for sale - at premium prices mind you.

I booked flights a good while ago and it worked out about 80 quid return incl taxes.

two of us went over for the show, its well worth going if you are into classic cars, plenty of motors of all makes and ages. fantastic stalls for tools ,books , scale models etc. spent 11 hours walking on the friday and 7 hours on the saturday, saturday was packed and you will not get as good photos because of the crowds. its a trip worth doing at least once in your life, we are going back next year.:rolleyes::D

I was there Sunday, got there fairly early and went straight to the far hall and worked my way back, which proved to be a good way to avoid the crowds.

    Pictures Here

There were four halls but it was still do-able in a day.

This is well worth the trip, its absolutly massive,i was there three years ago. The size of it is amazing,a day is not nearly enough to see everything properly.I cant make it this year, but im definatly going next year.Wear good walking shoes!:)
