have a look on www.Eirsoft.ie and www.airsofteire.com etc and see if your into any particular type of AEG., will be easier to get opinions if you have a better idea of what you'd be into.,;)

I advise you to go to a site and try out peoples guns(aksk nicely and they wont mind showing you) and see whats good for you. Some guns may be more comfortable to hold for long periods of time. Some may look better in reality. And check performance reviews online or ask here once you have an idea.

I dunno if you're a gamer but is there any guns in games that you reall like. Or movies?

If your still not sure the JG G36C on Eirsoft is a vaery good all round gun and its only €130.

Where abouts are you located? If you're in Dublin, or there abouts, I'd recommend you head into BFSL. Have a play around with some of the different guns. There's no pressure to buy, but it's good to get your hands on some.

LOL I bet you don't say that in a couple of months :D

Head out to HRTA or your nearest skirmish site before you buy and have a look and try out the AEG's that people have with them. You should get a good idea from holding them and chatting to people as to what you would like then.

My first AEG is a lovely piece of kit but as a skirmish weapon its quite impractical. Only found that out after I brought it out with me.

    QFT

My G36C is a great gun, and I always had a fancy for the M4 untill I held one, it felt nice but I didn't like the grip, you can get different ones but the fact that you have to has pushed it way down the line on the wish list.

thanks for the info gents had a few shots of an ak type but it was a bit plastic and not much weight.going to head up bmfs during the week

another quick question do aeg`s all come with standard batteries or do u buy separate

Some will come with batteries and charger, most won't. Derek in Blanch will let you know what all you you need once you tell him your situation.

The JG G36c is next on my list, looks a fantastic piece of kit.

Most high end guns wont have a battery and charger with them(thus making the whole package quite expensive!).

However most clones/Chinese-made guns come with them included in the box.

One thing the batteries and chargers included with the Chinese Clones are not of the best quality. They'll do while you are starting though.
