    All,

my PC currently is not starting up.

When the system is powered on it gives the following message
"apologise for the inconvience....windows didn't start correctly.....
reboot in safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, last known good config or start windows normally...."

When selecting each of these separately...same outcome, sys reboots when getting to Windows XP startup.

last activity before the problem arouse was normal, no downloads, s/w or h/w installs. Any help greatly appreciated.

Windows is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled more than likely.

Just to try narrow the problem, if at all possible for future reference. I imagine a 1000 things could have corrupted windows, or is it during a certain process??

    cheers for the quick reply

Instead of jumping to a fresh install why not run a repair instead. Boot from your windows cd and you should be able to select a repair option

Id certainly try the repair option first.

The disc is the one that your Windows XP Operating System came on.
