Ipod - music skips

Hi Folks, If I load up a cd onto a PC that has say 18 tracks when transferred Ipod the last 4\5 tracks skip and jump as if listening to a scratched CD. If music is listened directly from PC it sounds fine if I listen to CD in anther player its fine. Any ideas Thanks Paul
