Electric convertor for America

Hi We're off to America for hols in a few weeks time. We are planning to take our portable DVD player so our toddler can watch her favourite progs whilst away. Any ideas what we need to use to convert the power to recharge it - I think we need more than just a plug adaptor? Thanks

buy a travel adaptor in the airport. Anything the sells as a eu to us adaptor will have a converter built in.

I bought one and it worked on my laptop and mrs' hair straightener etc.
