    hey,
i have this problem were i always sweating, well not always but a good bit, and its that bad that it actualy drips off my forehead rolls down my face, arms legs back all wet with sweat, im only 22 and it really does take over me sometimes

i cud be just driving the car and it starts,
if i go into a room i nearly always have to take my jumper off, if im out with my jacket on, and go to the shop the 5 min im in the shop im sweating like mad, and when im in the nite club its a nite mare,,

but it really hit home to how bad it is when i did my driving test it was a hot ay to go on top of everything and it just rolled off me, into my eyes and everything, i passed thankfully
i work in tv and i was in work and one the lads asked me to cover for him, im a traninee camera man, so i was using the camera and it was been recorded, with a director talking to me in my head set, iv no hassle using a camera i make living from it but just this time at this level, i was bucking sweat, im guess anxiety kicked in, i cudn stand straight was so hot, finding it hard to relax and breath, started shaking started sweating more , that much i cudnt keep my eyes open , the director was getting onto me, and i just cudnt do my job proper

the lads in work just told me it was a once off happens to everyone ya just gotta learn to relax,
but the whole experience is after knocking me back big time im afraid of been asked to work the camera again,

is it anxiety attacks or some thing or what is anxiety

    Thanks

What fluids do you drink? Cut out the caffeine if it is something you have regularly.

    hey deano,
have you tried talking to your doctor about your problem? it sounds like when you worry about it that it only makes it worse for you. dont loose confidence at work because of it,you wouldnt be doing the job if you werent good at it and enjoyed it.

Go to your GP and get checked out. And i think places like boots sell a over the counter anti perspirant thats alot more effective then anything you can normally buy.

Listen, dont even worry about it, the girls love a sweater, give them a minute and they will be wetter than you

Its not fitness or anything is it??

I have a problem that when im playin sport or just at the gym,I feel as if I oculd sweat for the country but thats just from working out

Also in shops when I'm trying on clothes(as much as I hate it) I begin to get a tad sweaty...Hate it!

I would also recommend going to the doctor,I wouldnt have thought its anxiety though

    Hey Deano, check out hyperhidrosis.

It's actually a common problem nowadays - and causes a lot of embarrassment for people. I'm surprised your GP didn't suggest it. Google it - if it sounds like what you've got then go get a second opinion. Believe me it is well worth it to get it sorted out.

I would definitely seek a second opinion this matter. Don't be afraid to try a different doctor.

    Hey Dude,

I generally feel for you. i have the exact same issue and it took me awhile to find out what the exact problem was.

I would be in work and all of a sudden if i got into a certain situation i would start sweating for no apparent reason, quite Embarrassing when you are standing infront of a group of people or holding a presentation

I have been to the doctor and got tests and everything was fine. Drop me a mail and i can explain more :)

I have the same problem. A few hours after a good shower I start to get sweaty. I hate it. But it does only happen sometimes. A lot of the times I'm dry. But at times when I might be only slightly nervous, it goes out of control, like during a recent interview I had. I was drenched. Got the job though :)

But if I buy that super anti-perspirant from boots for my armpits... wouldn't extra sweat come out of my palms, feet, back or groin area just to compensate? I think I heard this somewhere bofore.

That question is for me and Deano45, I think he should know the answer before buying the stuff...
