How does one get a position with the Dept of Ed and science as an Inspector? Where do the positions get advertised? What are the criteria required?

All public service jobs are advertised in the national press and on www.publicjobs.ie. You can register as a member on that site, and receive e-mail alerts when jobs in a particular category are advertised. Jobs in the inspectorate would be under "professional/technical"..."education", I reckon.

I'm not certain, but I think there might also be notices in the union newsletters when there are inspectorate jobs. (Can anyone else confirm or refute this?)
