Does anyone have problrms with their PS3 while using wifi, the signal doesn't seem to be very strong even from the next room (laptops using wifi in the same room have no probs what so ever), the connection seems to drop every so often, I'm using the latest firmware etc, just seems a bit odd...

No problems here. But I have a very good router.

I've got eircoms netopia router and it works fine with my ps3 even though it's downstairs and the ps3 is upstairs and a good bit away from each other.

Using a D-Link router, and have had no problems with random disconnections with the PS3. usually have a PC, house-mates laptop and PS3 leeching off the router at the same time.

No problems here either, it seems to be picking up a stronger signal than my laptop

I've had problems with mine losing its connection in the past but not recently(I have'nt been playing it as much). I found it strange coz no other device had problems in the same room or further away but I just put it down to the crap eircom router I use.

Pretty strong signal received on my PS3 and I can even pick up my neighbours un-encrypted network.

I have major problems with it. When my PS3 is on my internet connection slows down to nearly nothing. Even when im not using the PS3 online. Its in the same room as the wifi router (Netgear rangemax) and its on a BT 3MB connection. I don't use the PS3 wirelessly, i connect via the network cable directly to the router. Basically nobody can use the internet while the PS3 is on(wirelessly or directly connected), VERY FRUSTRATING, any suggestions?

PS3 works flawlessly when connected via wifi. Nobody else has any problems while it is in use either.

I haven't used any other computer in the house while the PS3 has been running. I'll give it a try later on.
