I've the last 2 weeks in November booked off work and want to go away to somewhere hot and not too expensive. Anyone got any good advise or suggestions of where to go. Also don't want to spend a fortune, coz i'm not that loaded:mad:

Ryanair probably have plenty of 1 cent fares to sunny climates for the end of November

I'd say Tenerife would be your best bet!

Ryanair fly into the better airport during the winter months so check them out for flights and book a hotel with 1800hotels.ie!

The only problem is that it will be pretty quiet with plenty of old people at this time of year!

Ryanair can be a tad expensive to the canaries......

Just put for 2 weeks to Malaga for 2 people- €150 approx. More or less same fare from Shannon or Dublin

If you want (pretty much guaranted) sunshine, I'd say puerto rico in Gran Canaria, you should get a cheap package hol. in November. The resort is quite nice but a bit limited and hilly.
Lanzarote and Tenerife are better, but in November, you may not get blue skies, or at least that was my experience.

check out yahoo weather for typical temperatures for your choosen destination.

    Good luck

I'm just back from Puerto Rico and it was great. There was a heatwave and it was late 30's. Albeit it will prob not be that hot when u go it is the best chance of great weather u will get at this time of year.

For year-round good weather, the Canary Islands is usually a good bet and you should be able to find a package for there that fits your budget.

I wouldn't go package, a little bit of research will save you a fortune.

I'd try bulgaria or anywhere there across from Italy. Eastern Europe prices with rivera views.

The coastline probably hasn't been distroyed with unsightly high rises like most of Spain and Portugal.

Capitol citys are easy, try hostelworld for cheap hotels and apartments.

Gran Canaria seems popular, would there be a lot to keep myself and the other half entertained for 2 weeks,

I am just back from Cyprus where it is still 29/30 degrees.
Lovely place with nice people but will probably be very quiet...

Holidays booked from work for 2 weeks, and need help on where to go? Any ideas

I'll give you an idea, especially as your new-ish, - one thread, in the correct forum, was plenty. Don't start threads in other (incorrect) forums on the same topic or the natives get restless ;)

    Threads merged.

just got flights to lanzarote for 430euro incl travel insurance for 2 and an apartment for us for 250Euro through buy and sell.if you can stretch that far it may be worth it....i'll let you know.

was trying the lastminute.ie route to Lanzarote,it will say 220euro each, then when I go to book it,the cost turns out to be 700euro for the lot.Now my maths aren't the best, but i know how to add.Anyone know what the deal is with that?

Have spent the week searching for a deal to somewhere nice, eventually booked 10 days in florida. Spent more than wanted (€880) but it includes flights, hotel and car. Now hoping the weather is hot.
