    Hey Guys & ladys...?
I'm after returning to collage as a mature student and need a good well built pda. Was thinking of another laptop but i'd much prefer a pda for what i need it for. If you don't laugh i'll tell you the last pda i bought was the fantastic Palm Vx back in 02 and i still have it and its as good as the day i bought it. Great little machine.

What i want is colour, memory, flash memory that will take either an M2 ScanDisk or a pro duo memory stick, mp3 playback maybe video, wifi, bluetooth and the rest i guess is standard. Budget is 300 but if i can get the specs i will of course pay more.

Does such a pda exist or is this something from homer simpsons brain...?

Have a look at this http://www.expansys.ie/p.Aspx?I=151713&se=405 HTC TyTNII (HTC Kaiser) it might not be exactly what you want and it is expensive but it has alot packed into it windows mobile, touch screen, 3mp camera, 3g, wifi, qwerty keyboard etc. There's a thread about it on boards and a review here http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/index.php/2007/09/07/htc_tytn_ii_review.

@ johnplayerblue: I have the palm tx for over a year now, and i'm highly impressed with it. the only thing it does not fulfill in your list is the ability to take memory stick, it will however take up to 4gb sd. colour screen, with virtual graffiti area, and OSK.

i currently have mine as mp3 player (ptunes), video (tcpmp), internet & email via wifi/bluetooth & dun (depending on location). documents to go 10 gives seamless integration with office files (doc, xls, ppt, pdf), i have tomtom navigator running with a bluetooth gps. picked up an infrared keyboard on ebay for €30, so i pretty much have a full laptop replacement that i can carry around in my pocket.

the prices online for the tx are pretty good now, i would highly recommend it. also the amount of software available for the palm platform is amazing!
