This will be our third year at the coursing in Clonmel running this event and what an experience it is , This is one event that i myself look forward to being involved with and now we are reserving seats at our cash tables @ The minnella hotel in Clonmel.

In total per night we had around 12-15 cash tables going per night over the festival and great turnouts for each tournament The atmosphere was electric and the service craic and banter superb ...The Cash players outnumber the tournament players and chips fly everywhere .

Last years tables ranged from €1-€2 all the way up to €50-€100 nl holdem and attracted some high stakes players from throughout Ireland. The stakes were huge and money was flying around . Players and spectators were able to see high stake games in front of them for some the first time

We also have tournaments for those who do not fancy the cash tables and details can be found below.

€50 - €100 nl holdem x1 - min buy in €5000 (last year table was pre booked and 9 handed ) with heavy action

You should set up a stand around this table and charge €10 a head just to watch!!

    Rake

Here is the Club Rake for a €1-2 and €2-5 table and €5-€10

    €1-€11 no rake
    €11-€22 = €1
    €22-€33 = €2
    €33 -€44 = €3
    €44 - €80 = €4
    €80 - 250 = €5

anything over €250 maximaum rake €10

Anything over 10-20 NLH the max rake is €20

It'll be impossible to get a room in Clonmel, never mind a special rate.

Stay in Dungarvan 22 miles away: easy drive and much nicer town.

The best hotel locally is The Park Hotel (058 42899): they have separate holiday homes as well which wpuld be ideal for 4 plus people.

Good game there on Mondays run by Big Slick too :D

I know they are there but we are there the last 3 years and have a good reputation ... Players with us are of a different callibure to be honest Dissappointed that they clashed to be honest as the poker community is very small and we stick together but i guess not...

Yeah, i understand that but i doubt if they have anything on this year in terms of big festivals because they certainly havent done anything like that in recent years. Im not knocking Poker Events but apart from their weekly €100 FO's in Galway and a WSOP sat last year i cant recall any big tourney.

It's such a shame people have to jump on the band wagon and possibly split the crowd & ruin it for everyone. Greed is an awful thing.

I think I know what is implied by "FULLY DEALERED" but never heard that expression before. Judging from past experiences players would need to have a good study of CPT's blind structures, registration fees, and need to know that 100% of all monies collected will be given out in the prizefund.

I'm staying with Big Slick for a professionally run tournament
