Universal lnb on Sky dish

A neighbour of mine recently bought the Lidl Satellite system but already had a sky minidish (no lnb) installed from a few years back. To save time and effort we used a adaptor clip to fit the Lidl lnb to the minidish. However to our surprise only BBC and some ITV channels work. After moving around the dish the Technomate Digisat meter reports a very strong signal but there is no Sky News or Eurobird channels, Zone Reality etc and UTV is breaking up. I am at a loss as to what to do next other than get a sky minidish lnb or use the Lidl dish which my neighbour is not keen on.

    Any help or suggestions appreciated

you just may need to wiggle the dish/lnb around until you get a stronger signal...

p.s. there is nothing wrong with the lidl dish.. especially if it is the 85cm dish,

dont forget to offset the lnb withthe dish...

i'm sure someone else will give a fe more hints.. :D

Yes, you may need to rotate the LNB in the clip. In our part of the world, as you're looking at the disk, you need to rotate the LNB clockwise (something to do with skew of the signal due to our position on Earth relative to the satellite).
