Cashing pensions prematurely

    Hi,

I recently switched jobs and am joining up the company pensions scheme. I was part of my previous employers scheme also, from a different funds operator.

Is it possible for me to cash in the money from my previous scheme? I'm sure there are penalties for this but am not sure how punitive these are? Plan to put the money as a deposit on a house.....

Would it be worthwhile to do this or would I be losing more than I'd gain?
