What I want to do is copy microsoft word from my pc to my laptop. Ive no idea where the cd is as its a few years back now since I installed it. I recently got a laptop and i want to put word on it.

Is it possible to just copy office to a usb key and install it that way or will I need to find the disc? Or copy the program to a cd and do it that way?

I also want to put visual studio from my pc onto the laptop. It would save time just doing it this way rather than having to wait till the college gets in its copy again (its always booked out)...

    Thanks.

You will need the CD and an appropriate licence for two installs. Try installing OpenOffice in the meantime if you're desperate to access Office documents.

If you're doing C, try MS Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition. It's free to download, even if not quite as fully-featured as Visual Basic.
