You haven't mentioned what course you wish to do - have you looked into that?

Too young for what? Going to college is a choice which you make (usually) so if you're going to go along to an open day why would your age matter? The people on the stands are there to answer questions, as people here would be happy to do. I enjoyed my time in Trinity, but does that mean you will?

What are you looking to do there? What are you looking for in relation to college? Rating an entire University as 'Good' or 'Bad' is simplifying things majorly. Can you be more specific?

Don't pick the course for the college, pick the college for the course. Decide what you want to do first.... you might find TCD doesn't even offer the exact course you're hoping to do. Come along to the open day, no one cares (or will notice) how old you are. Remember, you're here to learn. Everything else is a bonus.

thanks, your gr8! em ye, im thinking of medicine as a course, but i would like to venture into cosmetic surgery at a later date? Im not sure if there is a better way to get into cosmetic surgery, but i like the medicine course? the hospitals(James's, tallaght) are somewhat more supportive apparently than other college's. what did you do?

I assume you've never been to open days before - the people on the stands are paid to answer queries. Simple as. They are also usually students themselves, so if you have a question, just go and ask them. If you have a question and you don't ask (no matter how silly it might sound), then ask. Otherwise you would be stupid! I assume the open days are aimed at 6th year students still, but there still isn't a problem with a 5th year coming and asking questions. There used to be stands for each course but I haven't a clue if it's changed, but chances are there'll be someone there answering questions about Med.

Most of the information you'll need really for the CAO is in the CAO handbook, and it's available online: http://www2.cao.ie/handbook/handbook/index.php

There are a few people studying medicine on this board so if you have questions feel free to put them up here, or start a new 'Medicine' thread. I don't have a clue about cosmetic surgery but I'm sure people here would be willing to answer. But again, the more specific the questions the better replies you'll probably get.

I finished Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering last June and am graduating in around 2 weeks in it.
