You could try massaging lots of virgin coconut oil (the kind you eat) into the scab several times a day. It usually helps relieve stuff like excema, so it might help "soak" the scab off or something.

You could try some bio oil which you can get from most chemists. Its very good for scars and things.

Go to a pharmacy and ask for advice. If its small, there are treated plasters available and Savlon Healing Antiseptic Cream(?)

Go to your GP and ask him about Fucidin H*, it's a steroid used for eczema and rashes etc, it works wonders in little time at all as I suffer badly with eczema.

*Fucidin is prescription only, you will have to go to GP and ask him about it - I'm no expert, don't mean to be giving medical advice but if you need it gone by thursday...

Bepanthen. It's a cream for nappy rash and is also recommended by a lot of tattoo artists for healing. You can get it in any chemist and it contains Vitamin B5 which is meant to help the skin heal.

Failing that, I find toothpaste is always a good one as it'll dry the scab out. When showering use waterproof plasters.

Preperation H is good for tattoos, so might be good for scabs

My skin on my face flakes for a week or so in the cold dry air of Spring every year.
I know a few people who have this problem.

Fucidin is good stuff and yes, it is prescription only but it might be worth getting

Failing that sudocream. It's like WD40, there are countless things it can be used for!

Please use medical products in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

Try Betadine Cream, it contains iodine which promotes healing and doesnt sting. Betadine Paint contains alcohol & will sting like hell briefly but dries up wounds quickly.
All of these products are yukkie brown though.

PS mixed with Sudocream (1 part beatadine CREAM 9 parts Sudocream) is very good for nappy rash - the iodine is anti fungal & was soothing to sore asses!

Where is the scab? If on upper body can't you bath instead, cover the scab in a plaster and make sure you don't get it wet?
