    Hi all

Dunno if this is the right section for this but here goes. I recently put some 100 watt bulbs in my car both on beams and dips, someone told me to change them back to the 55 watt ones for the nct cos they'll fail the 100 watt bulbs cos they're too strong, does anyone know if this is true ?

    Thanks in advance

I had them in an old car about 5 or 6 yrs ago and it failed for a lot but not the lights so i thought it was ok but someone told me they now have a machine that tells them the strength of the light ?

will pass no problem, dont think many would flash you arent they only 100watts on full beams and you shouldnt have them on with on-coming traffic any ways ;)

Exactly, mind u it is good that ppl are dipping sooner than they used to when they meet my lights :D. Mind u when they're dipped they're 100 watt bulbs too though ! Will they dipped lights pass ?

Slightly OT, but if you're using 100W bulbs, you need to be sure that the wiring to bulbs is of sufficient gauge to carry the extra current required. If not you run the risk of the car going on fire................
