I blew the head gasket on it while bringing it back from the uk and would like to know any of you interested in a bit of work fixing it and some other things like changing timing belt, fan belt etc?. Its a 1996 1.4litre 134bhp turbo. Much different than standard puntos so might be more difficult to do.

I don't get why you'd trust someone from Boards that you've never met over going to a random garage that's close to where you live? If you're wiling to pay well.

because of the hassle moving it getting it towed to the nearest garage is 150 there then 150 back so save that way as wont drive it as havent been to the vrt place and wont be in there till tuesday

Hopefully it would be driving once it got fixed? Ring around a few local garages, they don't all charge that much to get a car in.

Blew the headgasket on it and looking to get it fixed. Will pay 300 for the labour which shouldnt be longer than 6 hours work. Thats 50 quid an hour nice nixer for someone. I have all parts needed for work to be done head gasket set and new time belt (old timing belt fine just replacing while is off). I'm in dublin 22 and would want to have the car done where it is as havent paid vrt on it yet and dont want it moved until i do. When opened if anything else damaged like pistons etc would be of course paying extra for that to be done. compression in 1: 105, 2: 115 3: 0, 4: 105. Guesing bit of water in 2 and the hole in gasket is around 3 maybe lot more damage with no compression

Thats what put on another website so same would apply here

There's a garage just up the road from you as you head towards Grange Castle (Sean Kavanaghs Garage), don't know anything about them, but seeing as it's so near, you could get it to them easily enough
