    Yes, it's him again.
This time with an orchestra in Dublin.
It's not my strongest collection my a long stretch, but I give plenty of people some ****e on here, and so I will gladly take it.
This collection, however, was more intended for Duke Special fans, rather than photographers.
The first few are stage-side shots of Jose Gonzalez.

    Jose:

Duke: (yes he's sitting at the piano)

    An instrument :)

    Duke and Neil Hannon:

This has a story behind it, which will remain a secret. :)

i like the first , 7th and 9th (with orchestra)

youve posted too many in one thread .

The amount of Duke Special photos posted here meens they really have to do something to merit, certainly with me.

The ones mentioned above i like , the rest -- i'll say nothing -- i'm not cruel

Well, I was lucky enough to have a preview of these last night, and have to say, you did good work.

There's some really nice shots standing out for me.

4, 5, and Duke & Neil Hannon are very nice.

    I love your instr...

The abstract photograph you took of an instrument.

No. 8 would be great if you used a curves adjustment layer or three to get varying contrasts to still have black around the lights, and fade in to keep everyone else popping...

Barry, I don't think it's a matter of being cruel, if you don't like something about a photograph, say it, it might help the photographer learn from your opinion. Feedback is feedback either way, and not everyone is going to like everyone elses photos.

    I'm looking for feedback.
If you think my photos aren't the best then tell me so I can make them better.

Thanks Al, I've recently got into the way of using Lightroom, rather than photoshop - I'm still working on that. Lightroom is proving more annoying than helpful recently, so I might try Aperture for a while! ()

I've gotten a bit too dependant on lightroom recently. If it had adjustment layers, and some better systems for sorting photos, it'd be a much more efficent piece of software.

Don't let me know how you get on with Aperture, I don't want to be tempted by the apple again...

Ill just say what I said on the other forum
"I like the piano reflection shot, works better in BW imho. Some of the WA shots are very effective too. I like the colour in the last shot, pity about the DoF, just a bit distracting from the rest of it, but its nice all the same. Different to the usual take on things anyway, which is a good thing."

Personally, I prefer it to Lightroom, the workflow in Aperture is more intuitive and the keyboard shortcuts etc are more efficent. Keyboard shortcuts to navigate to window views rather than the tabbed window setup in Lightroom which is handier if you are working on multiple monitors etc etc

    l

I wanted to post my DS shots last week, but I didn't for this reason, just reckoned you would all be sick of it, on Flickr for anyone who isn't. Maybe if there is a Duke lull in a few months ill give it a go ;)

Fair enough point about the number of posted shots really, supposed to be 4 and link to the rest or something isn't it?

It's going to take long time to get used to it though! I'm not sure if it's worth the effort. :(
