Was driving into Dublin City around 5pm and thought the temperature computer on the car was broken as it said 19.5C Returned to Dublin later in a different and newer car, around 11pm, temperature was 17C !!! Felt really mild out! As we left the urban area and the heat island effect the temp dropped back to 16C Just checked…

Just checked Met eireann website and Shannon airport is 17C as of 11pm!!

Its 15.1c here now, its been about 16.5c during the day, so not much of a drop, very mild night out.

14c here at the min, heavens is after opening up and the wind is really picking up too.

there can be a drop 2-3deg with this effect but i would never fully beleive the read out on a car system.. the weatheris fubar'ed anyway we seem to be a month behind the seasons
