looks like a scam
all feedbacks involves only shirts and private listings
dont be fooled by the fact that he takes paypal
there are scams around that too

altough some items do come up with a paypal buyer protection upto 1000
which as far as i know its a good guarantee
any expert ebayers around that have more experience can probably contribute to this thread?

the listing format for the shirts however is different from the one used for the electronics
id still be careful

I wonder if there is any way of spotting a hacked account outside of the feedback which can be too late.

I presume they some how get your username and password?

Sorry to interupt this post but I was wondering about this crowd on e-bay they have really good feedback and some quailty cameras at really good prices. Some of teh cameras are refurbs any problemw ith this? 3 month warranty included

I am almost sure i bought a digital camera from them about 18 months ago. It was refurbished.....of course i was new to ebay and did not see that. Turned out ok, but i had to pay customs to the delivery guy. I was not expecting that. UPS delivery.

Camera was just fine though.

It says the seller is from the United States yet the Item location is England, If the Item is in england I should not get any import tax charges should I ?

You are right there, but i had to pay tax because it came from the states.
If she is posted from the UK then you are fine.

A lot of UK sellers claim to British too, but they are posting from the far east.
This means that we are liable for customs tax.

I wish ebay would clear this up once and for all.
You are either a seller in one country or you are not a seller full stop.
