Sound problem in friends computer

Bit of a problem with my friends computer. The sound doesn't seem to work on the internet. I tried it in ie and firefox and no luck. His itunes and such works grand. Probably something really simple, any suggestions?

Go to the "TOOLS" "INTERNET OPTIONS" "ADVANCED" TAB section of your Browser & make sure that the check box is checked for "Play Sounds In Web Pages" under the Multimedia section.
