Abandoned Camp

This afternoon I took a walk through my local Coillte wood at Kilanthomas. On my way back I took a shortcut through Kilanthomas Camp, which was built to house migrant workers who came from the south and west to work on the Bog of Allen. Its been abandoned for years and subject to the tender mercies of the local youth.

hmmnnnnn..... probably not my cup of tea as such but these and perhaps you have some others are likely to make an interesting pictorial record of the location on a 'decay' theme. i nearly typed 'urban decay' but is there such a things as 'rural decay' ?

anyhow in terms of the images, and if you are attempting to pull them into a collection, all I'd suggest is to add drama by perhaps considering a black/white conversion as you already have captured some interesting shadows and possibly add some vignette.

TBH its not really my cup of tea either, but I was there and said why not.....
I did consider converting some to B/W but felt that the candidates were pretty much unsaturated anyway.
