dunno if this is in the right section?
just got a new laptop, with windows vista. the wordpad programme has no spell check, footnote function etc. its driving me mad. do i have to download something or upgrade to another version of vista? mine's vista home basic.

    thanks!

Don't think wordpad has ever had a spellcheck.

Try OpenOffice or Google Docs as a replacement for MS Word.

there were some shareware spell checkers for write aka wordpad but not it's just not worth it when you can get openoffice, abiword and others totally free.
