    Minister for Finance Cowan advises us that this budget will be tight and we should cut back on spending……health cuts etc, etc.

    Bertie Aherne awards himself €38,000 pay rise to make him one of the biggest wage earners for leaders worldwide. Cowan gets €36,000. The rest get from €18,000 to €26,000.

    RSA announces new laws.

    Airtime is taken up by discussions on change in legislation regarding Learner Drivers which could never be brought into force. Ahern and gang get away without a word.
