Can someone please point me in the direction of a good guide to LCD HD ready TVs?

I'm going to be buying a 32" LCD TV soon and want to know what I should be looking for.

For example, I know that the higher the contrast the better but how low is really poor and at what contrast ratio can I be assured that the picture will be good. I'll be using the TV for watching digital satellite, DVD's and potentially for console gaming.

    All help appreciated. Thanks.

I came across this site, which might be worth a browse...

Thanks byte, I had a look at that site early yesterday but unfortunately it was nowhere near as good as I had hoped. :) The 8-step buying guide on that site is pretty rubbish actually although there are some reviews on the site...

    might be a bit better.

I think the best way of seeing what's best is to go into electrical shops and see the TV's in action, as people's tastes can vary.
