Annual Dublin Novice Competition

    I was told that there was a novice competition this Sunday 4th Nov in Dublin, does anybody know what time and where's the venue?

    Its a Leinster Novice, Weight in is 8-10am and Boxing is on in the Ringside Club (beside the stadium) on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

    is it open to all age groups including adults?

    Actually i've just been contacted by phone by the Dublin Co. Board. The Weigh in has been put forward to This Sunday 28th Oct from 10am - 12am in the Ringside and boxing will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

    Novices are open to any boxer with less than 5 fights and aged between 17 and 34.
    If you need any more just shout.

    thanks for that nowhere near competition fitness, but might go along to see what sort of level the guys are at. Is it 3 x 2min rounds?

    Just a question MBC....are these novice competitions on regulary...because checked the iaba website and didnt seem to mention them...or maybe my eyes are decieving me!:)

    Not sure if there was boxing on last night.........but there is defo boxing on tonight..........start around 7.30pm in the ringside club beside the stadium. There will be a charge of about 5 or 10 euro. Finals are tomorrow night.



    The Novice championships are just held between counties and inter-provincial.........there is no all-ireland novice championship thats why its not on the iaba website.

    I think Dublin are gonna hold there novice championship in the new year.......when i get the dates i'll post them up.

    No we had a few lads training alright but we decided not to enter them for various reasons.

    Was there many entrants. What was the stndard like?

    Where would you get results from the leinster board?
