    Hi,

I booked some tickets yesterday for "box office collection". Just wondering does this mean collect at the venue (Tripod) or collect from a ticketmaster outlet? I couldn't really find anything to tell me while I was booking.

It means at the venue though I believe in some cases you can also collect at a ticketmaster outlet up to a certain time before the gig.

You might need to bring the CC that paid for them. if you choose box office on www.tickets.ie you can save €1 from the face value. That is €3 less than buying in soundcellar or HMV. And up to ~€7.50 less than ticketmaster charge. So ticketmaster are screwing you for for €7.50 above and beyond what is a reasonable profit.

No "might" about it, you have to have the credit card to collect the tickets.

tickets.ie and ticketmaster both cover different events (most of the time, sometimes there are gigs with tickets being sold on both sites) so most of the time you don't have a choice.

    Always venue, never outlet

I've never once been asked for my credit card when picking up tickets.

I've also never been asked for credit card in the tripod though i've only been to 3 gigs in the venue. They are within their right to ask you for the credit card so i bring it on the off chance.
