i just came across this usb dvb-t stick for sale on elara

it is the dual tuner HAUPPAUGE - WINTV NOVA-TD DVB-T TUNER USB 2.0

    http://www.elara.ie/products/detailsfull.asp?productcode=MME6510281

the price is under €16 which seemed like a bargain to me.

works as a single tuner under windows and as two separate tuners with the linuxtv.org drivers.

thought i would pass it on.

by the way, komplett.ie are selling it for €70.25

Well, no surprise there. But if 50 people order one, might a few slip through? :)

And it's back up to 76.

You'd be mad to buy a DTT receiver for Ireland right now,

Very mad to get one from Australia. Though I've bought the odd DVD. Their DVB-t ought to be similar but the 7Mhz channels spacing rings warning bells. We run 8Mhz channel Spacing.

The USA / Canada/Mexico/Japan don't remotely use the same system as Europe

The 7 mhz spacing is pretty common for dvb-t in the vhf range on the continent.
Btw the cheap usb sticks via ebay uk for 10 or 15 euros do the same job than the branded sticks.
