    Daniel Dae Kim was arrested for drunk driving in Honolulu early this morning. More details here:

    ABC's going to be pissed about this. Which means the writing is probably on the wall for poor Jin I'm afraid. He'll be lucky if he survives the season.

    That's bad form. Cool if it was a curse on the show.

    I guess the Honalulu police force are pretty good at doing their job.

    Pretty much the entire cast has got in trouble with the Hawaiian police for one reason or another. Holloway, Monaghan, Naveen Andrews and Somerhalder were all cited for speeding several times. Then Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were arrested for drink-driving on the same night (they were coming from a party at Josh's house). Adewale was arrested for driving without a license (charges were later dropped) and I think Perrineau got stopped for having no motor insurance.

    i hate the way that actors private lives get them sacked from roles, seriously unless they like raped/killed someone they shouldn't be written out because they get a DUI or a bit of bad press.

    i'm in no way condoning driving under the influence but everyone makes mistakes and i think they should be allowed to correct them.

    He's posted a pretty heartfelt apology on his myspace page (see here) so I'm hoping nothing will come of this.

    In truth the reasons Anna-Lucia and Eko were killed off were more complicated than it appeared. Rodriguez only had a 1-year contract and Adewale had personal reasons for leaving. And both of them bumped heads with the original cast.

    Kim on the other hand isn't as high profile so this shouldn't get as much media attention; plus he's been with the show for over 3 years now and is very popular and well-liked amongst the cast. So hopefully he'll avoid Smokey's judgement... for now at least.

    I like Kim as much as the next fan, but a DUI is a DUI. I guarantee he wont DUI again when they decide to write him off the show.

    @Cremo

    It doesn't matter how minimalistic you see this offence as. He broke a law, a law that's there because of people who kill thousands every year from DUI so I think he should be written off the show. As for the fact that it is his personal life, it doesn't really matter in cases like this, fans may not want to watch a character in a show who can be so selfish to DUI and put other people at risk

    right my brother was done for a DUI and he's a garden designer, should he have to quit one job because he got a DUI?

    he put people at risk yes i fully understand that and he learnt his lesson and done his punishment and it's something he is particularly not proud of and has to live with day and day, but it just seems to me that the judgement system is a bit wrong to make a meal out of this because the person is famous, whereas it happens to the average joe and they get the punishment but don't lose a job over it.

    I agree with Cremo. I'm not making excuses for Kim, what he did speaks for itself. But people make mistakes. It's not our place to judge him. He broke the law and he'll pay for it. The humiliation is enough, he shouldn't have to lose his job as well.

    What I was getting at is that he is in the public spot light. If some younger person see him getting caught for a DUI, being in holding for a few hours and then being bailed out and not having any repercussions, i.e being on lost and nothing being said about the shows lack of concern regarding his lack of respect for others, then whats those younger folk gonna think. They will do what anyone else would do... "WTF, well if he can get away with it so can I."

    Get what i am saying. And his so called apology was nothing more than a forced apology to try ease the tension over what he had done so he could try keep his job.

    Take 'Grey's Anatomy', I don't wanna ruin the plot in case anyone hasn't seen it yet, a main cast member used a very bad word to describe another cast members sexual choice while off camera in a heated argument with another cast member. Result, his contract was not renewed and he was let go.
