Gmail reply settings?

    When i reply to an email or even send an email, Gmail always sends me a copy of the email. How do i turn this off? Ive tried and searched everywhere but cannot find a solution!

    OP, are you using an email client to read/send your email or accessing it via your browser?

    To be honest, Mainly browser. I think thats the problem as when i use outlook (Pop3) it doesnt seem to do it??

    Well if i'm reading what you're saying correctly, that's actually how gmail works, it groups conversations together, that means both outgoing and incoming mails are listed together for the same subject.

    I've never done this but I think you can set a mail
    rule in your email client to filter the duplicate email to the trash.

    the reason why it sends you your sent mail to your pop3 client is so that you have a copy of your sent email.

    set up a rule that moves everything that comes from your own email to your sent items folder.

    If gmail used IMAP this wouldnt be an issue.

    Ok. Its just annoying when sending emails with large attachments as you have to receive the email via pop 3 again when you send and receive?
