Ok so i was stuck for choice yesterday so i reluctantly went to see costner's latest, Mr Brooks. Im still debating the film's purpose and what kind of film it was trying to be.

has anyone else seen it? how did you interpret the ending?
i was confused. was the purpose of the ending that brooks has chosen to live and accepts that he will be a troubled and damned man for the rest of his life? or was it trying to show his effort to be a good man. At no point in the film did i believe he wanted to stop but i wasnt sure whether that was down to the script of the performances.

Yeah I saw it , to be honest I did not think about it as much as you have.

I thought the movie was decent enough and I am glad I watched it, thats about as much as I can say for it as it is not an amazing film by any means.

I saw it and I was thoroughly impressed.
My interpretation of the ending was that whether or not he wants to continue killing, he doesn't want to die and/or leave his family.

The daughter part was left dangling abit and I'm not sure what to make of Demi Moores part...but William Hurt played a stormer!
It was worth it for him alone.

But yeah, good movie. Won't change your life but it will keep you happy for an hour and a half.

i think the ending has left it open for a sequel. I enjoyed the film-especially William Hurt's character.
