Skype video query

I recently downloaded Skype however have found that while the person on the other end of the call can see me and I can see myself in the bottom left of my screen I can't see the other person in the main screen as should be the case. Web cams are working fine and sound is fine, its just that the video of the other person is not coming through. I can take a video snapshot of the person no problem, but that's it. I'm using Vista, I wonder has that got something to do with it. Anybody any ideas. Thanks.

Check that Tools > Options > General > Video Settings > "Enable Skype Video" is ticked. (for both users)
I'm not sure if it's enabled by default.

i was on the skype forms and apparently the video is a bit hit and miss with the latest skype release. It might also be a problem if one of the parties is a Mac
