HI, I need to record a series of lecture to be put on the web and need a decent digital recorder for the job. The lecture room is carepred so there will not be echo also the recorder will be placed around 3 feet away from the lecture so it is pretty close. HI,

1 What is the differance quality qise between a dictaphone and a mp3 player recorder.

2 which will be more suited for my task

3 my budget is around 80 pounds.

Will there be a pa system used in the lecture hall? If so you can just take a direct feed from the desk into whatever recorder you use or even into a laptop and record that way.
