Celebrating my 40th abroad with family, suggestions please?

    Hi,

    I turn 40 next year and I was thinking of using it as an excuse to celebrate with my friends and family and go on a sun holiday at the same time. I'm thinking of sending invites out early spring inviting my friends and family to my party abroad, bit like a wedding aboard!
    Has anyone ever done anything like this? I was thinking of Portugal? Not even sure how to go about it as I'll need some sort of party organized or I guess I could do a big dinner in a restaurant at the sun destination. The final destination has to suit children and adults of all ages???

    Anyone any ideas?

    If there is kids involved then Falcon is your best bet, they have loads of apt complexes with stuff for kids.
    Is turning 40 that important?

    No it's not that important. I'm using it as an excuse to get the family together. We all went to Cyprus four years ago for a family wedding and it was great! We had a couple of deaths on my husbands side recently and we're all very close, so I thought it might be an incentive to do it again. :)
