According to IMDB its due to start the 6th of January. Havent really seen much else regarding air dates. Any one else see anything?

TG4 will show the 5th series of the wire next year as confirmed alan from TG4

No date yet for THE WIRE.

Seems like it can only be accessed on the Guardian website from the UK.

Wasn't too sure initially but Chris did call her "girl" a few times in the season. I know their dialogue is a bit muffled and hard to follow but still
The interesting thing is the actress playing her has been in jail and grew up in the very rough areas of Baltimore. She knows her role well. You can read about more in her auto-biography.
