Processed IP files

    Wa doing a hard drive clean up today and noticed that I have a file of processed IP files that is 2.5gig in size.... do I need these for anything or can i empty this file?

    AFAIK its the HH Files that it moves from your poker clients History folder and the HH's from eyepoker (after the've been processed) that you used to data mine.

    I suppose you might need them if your PT database got irreparably corrupted and you wanted to rebuild it. Or if you got some new software (Holdem Manager? not sure if this can load a PT db or not) that can only work with the raw files, not with the PT database. Otherwise they aren't good for much.

    I've been backing up and zipping my PT database which works well. PT stores the HHs (unless you disable this) in the database and can export them later (HM can read these). Backing up something seems like a good idea. I've never understood those threads where people say they lost their previous million hands due to hard disk failure. Backing stuff up is so cheap these days (I use an SD card), and the record of these hands is important to me.
