IT tech support Job in E&Y Dublin 2

    This is a combined Tier1/Tier2 job.
    There looking for somebody with between 6-12 months ideally.



    Key Responsibilities:

    · To provide help and support to all internal customers and to ensure all requests are recorded and the users kept informed of progress and completion.
    · To ensure the procedures database and user manuals are maintained and issued versions are current.
    · To undertake the installation and configuration of the software and operating system set up for new and re-issued user computing devices.
    · To undertake the installation and configuration of the networked printing devices and to ensure these devices are made available to the user.
    · To assist in the user training functions as directed by the information and technology teams.
    · To ensure accurate records exist to enable the control of the user hardware and software issued assets.
    · To assist in the distribution process of user upgrades to hardware and software.
    · To ensure the attached network printing devices are maintained and working correctly.

    Key Skills and Attributes:

    · Ability to understand and translate user problems to a technical format effectively.
    · Ability to work within a ‘deadline’ environment.
    · Ability to work as part of a team.
    · Ability to maintain a professional level of expertise required to service customers.
    · Strong skills in PC desktop applications and software.

    · Skills in Lotus Notes would be an advantage.
    · Experience with XP
    · Experience in Local / Wide Area Networks.
    · Experience in networked printing and network devices.
    . Experience in IP telephony an advantage


    It's a very good IT starter job

    Salary- about 25,000 depending on experience.

    Benefits include 10% discount on health insurance, firm days off at christmass, trainning course's paid for, exam leave.

    Meh, if you really wanted to work in IT, you'd be better off going to London - x10 more opportunities, you can go x10 higher, plus you'll probably be earning at least x2 that figure. Celtic Tiger's dead.

    Yeah, but that's in London. :) As much as we complain about Dublin, the cost of living in London is anything up to twice as expensive as Dublin.

    nope not a recruitment troll.
    Nope not lookin for the bonus either but i do work there.
    Getting that bonus is dam near impossible unless your related/married to the person and the person is an accountant of some shape or form.

    there still taking cv's for it. nope its a full time job.

    Well having a flat in central London is not cheap right, Dublin city center is very expensive as well.
    Regarding the other costs of living, London is cheaper in my own experience.

    I can vouch for that, my friend moved over there about a month ago and still hasn't got accomadation! Granted he'll only be there for 6 months (and is living with his sister at the mo in a 1 bed flat), but still no accomadation is ridiculus!
