Video Playback problem

    Hey,

    Last night i went to play a video in Media center, and it appeared very dark. i tried the same video in Media player...same story. i then tried different videos (that i know have played in the past) in both media center and media player....and the same! i shut down my pc and this morning i tried again...same thing!

    Anyone have any ideas on this?? i have Vista Ultimate edition

    Have you checked your brightness & contrast settings?

    i actually reinstalled my video card drivers whcih seemed to work.

    however when i googled it, it seems to be a recuring problem....
