    hi all

I just got a set of grover rotomatics 18:1 tuners off ebay
and they actually have "18/1" scribed on the back
    on the rounded area

I have never seen this on grovers, its usally blank on the back
I am wondering if they may be fakes,
are there fakes grovers doing the rounds?

I have not installed them yet but they seem
to turn well and are quite heavy, seem like good quality

    here we go with snaps

I am more suspect as I have looked
at loads of snaps of grovers and none are scribed like these

i have sent the snaps straight to Grover as well!

ha! i just installed chrome grovers on my acoustic last night, they don't look like that at all, either do the gold grovers i took off,
they all had tiny single digits on the back of each where yours have that "C",either a little 3 or 1

My buddy has got a usa washburn and they have the 18:1 scribed on the back too. There the top grovers that you can get and have 18:1 inscribed on the back to describe the grear ratio afaik.

Seems like you got yourself a pretty great deal there.

yep, they are more precise due to the increased ratio apparently
