there is a place just off camden street called image supply systems.
i had a problem with my cf ejector button. i dropped it into them, they sent it off to england and i had it back in two weeks. dont know the contact info but a good google search should sort that out

There is another place near portobello that is much better than ISS cant think of them off hand, PaulW knows the name I think?

Don't go blaming me. I only know of ISS, since I left my 20D with them before for a service (Canon Ireland told me to go to them).

Camera Repair Centre is the place I think. Right beside Portobello College.

That unfortunately is the problem with them. It seems every time you go in there they seem to send it to England and they are supposed to be the official service centre in Ireland - go figure!!!

I left my 350D to be repaired at the Camera Repair Centre, they called me about a week and a half later for me to come and collect it. Zero problems.

How much has it cost you guys to get repair work done?

I've got a dead AF point on my 300D that Conns told me would cost almost as much to fix as replacing the camera (with a 2nd hand 300D).
