Hey folks, I was wondering if anyone has booked a cruise in the Caribbean before and how they went about it i.e. what company etc and how you found it to be, I'm looking to head off early December (Last minute I know!) I've been looking at the thomascook.com site and there are a few that look promising enough but I'd still love to hear from other people.

I have done a few Caribbean cruises now with royal Caribbean although you will probably get a deal for the cruise the price for the flights are going to be expensive in December. I normally book them through my local travel agency, sometimes i would organise my own flights as it works out slightly cheaper. You can book the whole lot including flights & accommodation before and after the cruise online at www.royalcaribbean.com. any more questions just ask.:D

I went on a Carribbean cruise in Dec 04. It was only fantastic - prob one of the best holidays I ever had. Went to Cozmel, Belize, Grand Camen. I really loved it.

It is not a grey hair brigade that you hear about - I am 32 and loved it. Went with Royal Carribbean and they were really good. There were about 3,000 people on board but the only time that you felt this was when you were boarding for the first time.

    Go for it.

Check out a slightly alternative one http://www.windjammer.com
It's not on your standard cruise ship but more a tall ship where you help raise the sails every morning.

Went on a couple of cruises, and booked the first one through an Irish travel agent, booked the later ones with www.vacationstogo.com with good service and prices, particularly as they price in dollars.

Would also recommend a cruise, went with royal Caribbean and with celebrity and would recommend them both.
