Best PS3 deal with PS2 compatibility

    I've been a little out of touch with the console scene for a while, but get the impression that there is now a limited window to pickup a PS3 that plays PS2 games.

    Is this true, and if so whats the best deal on a PS3 with a big HDD and where ?

    The best I saw was in HMV.

    The 60 gig PS3, with 2 games and a Bluray movie for less than €500.

    Or if your not too interested in the Blu Ray a great deal is the same as above but with 3 games( resistance,Motorstorm and an EA title) for 519.99

    args had a similar deal but its over now, i wanted a certain EA game instead of the third one i got , oh well to late now

    HMV seem to have the best one.

    I went in a week ago to get a 60Gb PS3 for myself and my mate. Walked out of Game cause they wouldn't move on either their pricing or bundles. Said I was buying two, and HMV seemed to have the best deal. I am also a game card holder, but they wouldn't budge on their package, two games with console for €500.

    Went to HMV in Henry street, told them same story. They said because there was hardware involved they couldn't discount it any further, but changed the games for me. Said I could pick any two games I wanted with each console.

    Also gave me 10% off any accessories and a blue ray movie.

    Worth seeing if you can club together to get a slightly better deal
