Sneaky Meteor UK INCREASED Roaming Fees

Was checking the meteor site last week and they've upped the roaming rates for the UK...

Pay as you Go: the roaming rates for the UK were 20c a minute to make or receive a call. I log on again today and there is a new call setup fee of 29c!!

Bill Pay: the rate was 20c to make a call to UK or Ireland. Today it is gone up to 38c to make a call within the UK.

Are Meteor owned by Eircom? I expected their rates to increase once those shower or thieves took over.

(To make things worse they have a photo of that ugly MF from the RTE travel programme on the roaming web pages!)

Ummm, those rates were always there. That 29c connection fee while roaming has been there since Day One. As for the calling UK one, I'm not sure but I think you're right on that one, but wrong on the person, or network, to blame. Roaming rates are made by the network you are roaming on. If Meteor had to raise prices, it was due to T-Mobile. Still cheaper than the 59c a minute maximum charge, and still cheap that Vodafone peak calls in Ireland!!

I don't agree, they could just have decided to increase that charge and pocked the increase themselves.
