    does anyone know of agencies in this country that place people abroad to work in seasonal jobs / labouring / general op work.

    are there agencies abroad that do likewise

    or websites where i can register online for such placements

    i have searched on google but only find sites suitable for students

    thanks to all who reply

    I try to be of some help. i was thinking of looking for work abroad, so a few suggestions given to me were;

    1. If you play GAA try contacting a GAA club if any in the country
    2. Register on some of the recruitment websites in a specific country you want to go to
    3. Try some Irish companies who have offices/businesses/sites abroad.
    4. Try some of the TEFL companies

    Not much help I know, but its all I got.

    What area (builder, tech monkey, female wallpaper stripper) you looking for, and what region (America, Oz, Cork)?

    In '93 I worked in Holland (apple picking, and then lily bulb processing). An agency in Dublin arranged work, flights, accomodation, etc. Went on my own. Ended up working with 5 other Irish lads of similar age. A great time was had by all. Our contracts ended (and we flew home) on 23rd December. A couple of the lads went back the following year. I would highly recommend it.

    The agency details are;
    Fitzwilliam Technical Services,
    24 Upper Fitzwilliam Street
    Dublin 2
    Ireland
    01 6764125

    Edit: I don't know if these contact details will still get you in touch with FTS (been 14 years since I dealt with them). I just pulled them off someone's online CV.
