For Your Eyes Only alright and 'Yes' Roger Moore was the best Bond. No rise from me I totally agree.

Roger Moore was not the best Bond ever by a country mile. The Bond franchise under his name became synonimous with "gags for the sake of gags". Sgt. Pepper anyone?

Sean connery was great, Timothy Dalton was ok, Pierce Brosnan was ok,
Daniel Graig seems to be cool ... George Lazenby was ****...

but Roger Moore ... classic ... it was his Cheesiness that made him good ..

    it's Bond !! he's meant to be that way !!! ..

there is a reason why he is the Bond with the most films!!

Yeah because Connery wouldn't do them any more and Moore had a very good contract lawyer.

Seriously he is the worst Bond. His films are the most outlandish, gag ridden cringeworthy films of the franchise. For anybody who argues this point one word - Moonraker.

For me it's Connery, Dalton, Craig(but he might move up the list), Brosnan (was good enough but some of the films were awful tack), Lazenby and Moore

I don't think there's any real point in comparing the different Bonds. They're all different and all have their good points (even Lazenby!). Just enjoy them :)

What do you mean "even Lazenby"? Lazenby was a great Bond. Just as good as DC imo.

Like you say everyone has their favourites but there is one thing beyond argument and that is the fact that Moore was crap.

    Nail. Hammer. Head. TBH ^^

I have to say young Craig shows promise. Bond's returned to that cold calculated efficient assassin that Connery was. Dalton was good as well in that respect.

Brosnan looked the part, but was a little too towards Moore in some respects.

Moore has been in some great films ... For your Eyes Only, The Spy who love me, Octopussy, A view to a kill .. to name but a few ..

I love Connery and Dalton (it's a real shame he was only in two), I haven't watched On Her Majesty's Secret Service so have no opinion of Lazenby. I hate Moore, Brosnan was only good in Goldeneye. I will have to see the next Bond in order to fully rank Craig, but so far I like the fresh blood

My favourite Bond was Sean Connery, but my second was Roger Moore. I thought he fitted the role very well in a quintessential English way.
Next would be Pearse Brosnan and then Timothy Dalton. I did not like George Lazenby in his only outing as James Bond.

As others have said, it's a bit too early to judge Daniel Craig, but he was good in his first outing.... probably on a par with Timothy Dalton.

Timothy Dalton was the best bond by far, the most realistic when compared to ian flemings novels
