hmmm doesn't look like it
though i'm sure you could drop a mercury magnetics PT in there fairly easily

mmm i think i might pursue this. Not sure of what amp to go for though.
I really dig that old Peter Green sound....

Try here, they have been closed for a while now for orders, but there are some good links on there [especially on safety]. I've come across a few other websites in the last few months, if I can remember/find them I'll post them.

    http://www.metroamp.com
    http://www.tedweber.com
    http://www.ceriatone.com

I remember Weber not being too helpful with international issues (pt pri voltage etc), and never ordered anything in the end. Ceriatone came through but I was waiting months, and I'm presently waiting on another order with them which has also taken months. He has a good selection of kits though, and the rep seems to be good over on the forums.

Metroamp, I recommend highly, for kits or just parts.

It's a pity Ampmaker has been closed for a while now. He was a pleasure to deal with, and very helpful.

What would be the best gigging amp for an old Peter Green type sound.

Definitely take progress pics of whatever you decide to build, would make a great thread.

my ad30 could get a greenish tone, although having your pickups out of phase is a part of it too (the neck pickup of his les paul was put in backwards)

I'm not a big an of Les Pauls. They just feel uncomfortable to me so i hope my 335 can still achieve the Greeney tone.
I'm gonna whip out the neck pickup and flip the magnet and see what happens.

okay well after much searching i've decided to buy the marsh amps tweed princeton,i was previously caught between the tweed deluxe with 18wattish output (too loud) and the tweed champ 4-5watts(not enough headroom)
well mr marsh's new tweed princeton is 12watts of beauty!
    i know 12 vs 18 watts ain't much difference but it'll help
i think fitting an inefficient speaker will help drop the juice more than the watts will, but another reason i'm going with the princeton is the bigger speaker will give a little more low end

this is going to be my apartment amp and my recording amp

there's no link to the kit yet, just the pre-made version
