Im a big fan of CoD and with the 4th now out i was just wondering how the single player is? Have they improved anything and how is the fire fights, still insane and bloody? Im just wondering what the general view on the game is, before i decide to go out and buy it :D
The problem with the last few games was that the single player was to quick, i mean i beat all them in less than 6hrs or so, im just looking to see if the game will not only offer a whole new battlefield of combat but does it really challange you or is it just as easy as the old ones? Any info you can on this would be great. Also any big changes since last games?

Why don't you try the demo here
it's part of a single player mission.

I wrote my opinion of the demo here

The firefights are good, bullet penetration is nice, gun flashes are nice, I think the AI is good with using cover.
It strikes me as much the same as COD2.

You can throw back grenades, which is one very small new thing.

Lol yea how many times did you get stuck in a spot where if you run out you'll die and then a grenade just comes into the room? CoD was always a b*tch for that kind of choice making. Altho i still think CoD1 is the best, it was such a new game and so different to other games, the insanity of these intense fights blew open a hole in the market and ever after game makers have tryed to make their war games just as intense. But i shall play the demo and see what the new games like.

yea, except I didn't know I was stuck in a spot like that, so I would quick save. Only then, after trying 30 times to survive, I would accept I saved it in the worst place possible and have to go to an earlier save.
