    Hello All
I have one of the Lidle/Alde Free to view boxes for the last two years+ and its been working fine, I use for the kids programmes. But recently, I have been informed by my 4 year old that tiny pops/pops have strange programmes on!! My questions are, have the frequencies changed recently and how do I re-scan to re-include the missing channels?
    regards

Yes it changed frequencies recently so you will need to search using the following freq

    11642 V Symbol rate 27/5 Fec 2-3

You will also true movies 1 and two and others such as the newly launched Popgirl and Minx music channels

    Hope that helps,
    Steve

    Thanks Steveon
Just changed to the info you listed, but the picture is breaking up? I have a sky box on the same dish and it looks like those channels upgraded automatically? I'm a bit lost as to why the signal is ok for one box and not the other?

    Regards

I'm not 2 sure as of yet why the channels are breaking up on you on your FTA box and not your sky box. Can you tell me what the signal strength is on your sky box..

Channel breakup could be for a number of reasons such as bad cabling, badly aligned dish etc...

Sky box's automatically update the frequencies when they change transponders

My bet for breakup on those particular channels would be a nearby DECT wireless phone. The digital wireless phone's can affect certain sat box freqs and the tiny pop channels are some of them.

If you have a phone nearby, switch the base station off and see what happens. You may have to move it - or you could try moving your satellite coax feed, if there is any slack on it. Sometimes you can find a position for the cable that is interference free.

Some sat boxes are more prone to this interference than others.

Our dect phone killed my sky box completely. We had to give up on it and get a standard wired phone.

Thanks folk, switched off the dect base unit, which happens to be beside the coax, and the reception is A1. Now where do I put my recently installed dect in my recently installed kitchen!!!!!!:(
    Thanks again, great resource
