Does anybody know any way of getting rid of this weed from my garden pond? I've tried everything and it seems to be impossible to get rid of.

I had this a number of years back and it has since gone. I only had a light sprinkling as the pond is well planted and there wasn't enough nutrients to allow the duck weed to really grow out of proportion.
Have a look at this for reference...

Seems that if it's a small garden pond you have to skim it out. If you skim enough you'll reduce the excess nutrients in the water (you want a balance) and this will reduce the chance of the duck weed going mad again.
